From Zanzibar: 2-Day Selous (Nyerere) Safari with Game Drive, Boat Cruise & Bush Walk
Fly to Nyerere National Park & Full-Day Game Drive
You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel and transferred to Zanzibar Airport. At approximately 06:30–07:00, your flight departs for Selous/Nyerere National Park, arriving around 07:00–07:30.
Upon arrival, your shared safari game drive begins at approximately 07:30–08:00. Explore the vast landscapes of Africa's largest protected game reserve while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birdlife. Your experienced driver-guide will share fascinating insights about the park's wildlife and ecosystem throughout the journey.
Enjoy a mid-morning coffee or tea break around 10:00, followed by an authentic bush lunch served at beautifully arranged tables in the heart of the national park at approximately 13:00.
After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive before heading to Africa Safari Selous, where you will spend the night surrounded by the African wilderness. Dinner and overnight accommodation are included on a full-board meal plan.
Day 2: Bush Walk & Rufiji River Boat Safari
Start your morning with a guided bush walk, offering a unique opportunity to experience the African wilderness on foot while learning about the smaller details of the ecosystem, including animal tracks, plants, and local flora and fauna from an experienced guide.
Later, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on the Rufiji River, one of Tanzania's most wildlife-rich waterways. Cruise past hippos, crocodiles, abundant birdlife, and other animals that gather along the riverbanks, offering excellent photographic opportunities from a different perspective.
After the activities, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel, where you will arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on your hotel's location.
